“More than you imagine” is Mason’s motto and the city certainly offers much more than you would think for its 18.67 square mile size. What was once a small farming town named after Revolutionary War veteran William Mason, who first purchased the land at an auction, has blossomed into a bustling community. The rich history of Mason is preserved at the Alverta Green Museum.
